Join A.I.R. as we welcome our 2019-20 A.I.R. Fellowship Artists at an informal gathering with colleagues at our gallery space in DUMBO. This year’s program includes artist Rachelle Dang, Heather Anne Halpert, Sareh Imani, Victoria Manganiello, Aliza Shvarts, and Crys Yin.

In the last 25 years, more than 100 artists have had the opportunity to have their first solo exhibition in NYC with the support of the A.I.R. community. This year we have a group of artists whose range in practices spans critical questions and tensions present in geopolitical issues and colonialism; queer and feminist understandings of reproductive labor and temporality; textiles as connectors to legacy, narratives, and technology; attention to the ways in which human beings bargain with the laws of the physical world; and humor as a device to transcend embarrassing and awkward cultural misunderstandings.
