Drive In, Blind Spots and a Dead End
Angie Eng

June 2 - 20, 1998

Angie Eng approaches video as a tonal language, rather than high-tech narrative, in a sensory charged video installation. A membership at AIR gallery granted to her by a fellowship has culminated in work which probes primitive human behavior and oversterilized modern life. Merging moving imagery, sound, wall-to-wall carpet and automobile parts, Eng transforms the gallery into a hybrid of drive-in theater and suburban home.

Opening Reception: Tuesday, June 2, 6-8pm
