Artist Statement

The compositions I make are essays at understanding how human beings bargain with the laws of the physical world—gravity, leaks, and endings. I use a variety of media, most often sculpture, drawing, and animation, to propose affinities between entities belonging to separate systems of classification, manipulating one domain in hopes of affecting the other, translating between those that resist equivalence, excavating for metaphors, accidentally-on-purpose easing the rules that keep everything separate, everyone alone.
