BIO

Amber Esseiva is a curator living in New York, NY and is A.I.R Gallery’s first curatorial fellow. Esseiva attained a Master’s degree in curatorial studies from The Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, where she developed research on the artistic practices’ of Cayetano Ferrer and Avery K. Singer. Esseiva worked as a curator in Richmond, Virginia at institutions such as: The Anderson Gallery, The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and The Reynolds Gallery. She has also been a guest curator in Doha, Qatar at VCUQ as well as directed a project space, CMF Gallery, in which she supported the development of young artists, by giving them their first solo exhibitions and or groups shows. She is currently the director of Retrospective Gallery in Hudson, NY.
