From Here to There

From Here to There is an exhibition of paintings on paper. It is in three parts, each part evoking both motion and rest. For Storrow the natural world has become a symbol of the self. Storrow works with oil paintsticks directly on wax-medium prepared paper. A richly drawn and color-layered surface is contrasted with areas of blank paper. The world resonates in her paintings with variations and elaborations of organic pattern—all condensed, extended, and repeated; her paintings are gestural and immediately personal.
