A.I.R. presents Elke Solomon’s third solo exhibition which features recent paintings and works on paper. Solomon’s commitment to abstraction has long been recognized. Her new work, which includes drawings, small serial paintings, and large scale canvases, reveals the confidence of an artist who has reached her stride. These elegant, strong paintings which are personal, quirky, and fiercely independent rely also on a continued dialogue with the tenets of abstraction and Modernist painting.
