Jessie Nebraska Gifford in an artist who synthesizes her experiences, thoughts and observations into her work. Seven Nude Men Think About Architecture is the result of decades of museum going, observation of the taboos of the art word, and her own pleasure in presenting the human figure on canvas. There is a richness and beauty of coloring and a lively depiction of the subjects combining poignancy that is the legacy of Gifford's expressionistic narrative style. There is also the nuance of humor and friendly caricature in Gifford's work.
