Nana Nicola Olivias uses blood on canvas as her medium of choice in her solo show Paintings and Love Notes. She acquired the cows blood from a slaughterhouse in New York’s meatpacking district. The severity of the blood provides a dramatic juxtaposition to Ms. Olivas’s intimate hand scrawled “love notes.”
