A.I.R. Gallery artists will show new work and create a series of site-specific installations to transform one of the 19th Century houses at Nolan Park on Governor's Island. The theme of the exhibition is inspired by the location in Nolan Park on Governors Island. The space itself became a catalyst for the theme as the artists envision work that holds a conversation with the location and history of the house. The once-abandoned spaces are enlivened with moments of dialogue specific to If These Walls... and include paintings, sculptures, photographs, works on paper and site-specific installations. 

Artists represented in the exhibition: Jenn Dierdorf, Daria Dorosh, Jacqueline Ferrante, Maxine Henryson, Cynthia Karasek, Louise McCagg, JoAnne McFarland, Jayanthi Moorthy, Melissa Murray, Sylvia Netzer, Laura Petrovich-Cheney, Ann Schaumburger, Barbara Siegel, Susan Stainman, Erica Stoller, Nancy Storrow, Jane Swavely and Mary Sweeny.
