Ross’s current installation of sculpture and reliefs- fabricated in aluminium laminate and cherry wood, is expertly conceived as down to earth. As well as the artist’s signature monolithic shapes there are forms made playful by a novel assembly of their laminates’ grains, which gives them a surprising almost painterly finish.
