Ross will exhibit six relief sculpture in cherrywood and maplewood. Each exhibited sculpture has its source in ancient artifacts – a Taino yoke, a Tlingit club, an African knife, a Haida bowl. She recreates them with crisp simplicity and free abstraction, using a flexible eye toward interpreting this material and succeeding in giving the sculpture the same mystery that resides in her sources.
