Ian Gerson

Gerson was awarded A.I.R. Gallery's Emma Bee Bernstein Fellowship (2012-13) concluding in a solo exhibition (2013), Smack Mellon's Hot Picks Artist (2012), LMCC's Swing Space Residency (2011), and upcoming Snug Harbor Artist Residency Program (summer 2014). Group exhibitions and performances include DUMBO Arts Festival (2013), El Museo del Barrio La Bienal (2013), River to River Festival (2012), and Socrates Sculpture Park (2010). Public projects include a temporary travel agency installed in an empty Italian Ice shop in Williamsburg (2010) and a bicycle fruit cart on Rockaway Beach (2012). Gerson holds a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin (2008).
