The work reflects her life in the mountains of the Catskills and now on the high desert of Taos, New Mexico. Through reflecting the land around her, these paintings are not traditional landscapes. In these works the shapes are simplified and the colors subtle. Together, they reflect the larger world of natural forces and the mystery that sustains it all. One can see the gesture of the artist's hand humanizing and softening the haunting beauty, light and power of the universe.
