ARTIST'S BIO
Coming from a society in conflict of existence as victims and as perpetrators, I am interested in exploring the influence of wreckage on the urban landscape, society and individuals. I tend to use processed wood, paper and material found in construction sites, altered by weather and by the coarse of time. I then turn to the Printmaking studio and create mono-prints depicting fragments of intimate, mundane life. Finally, I combine the mono-prints into forms conceived through a study of the unfortunate aesthetics of rubble. When building an object, I thrive to depict a sense of transient unease. I seek a form that defies gravity while remaining solid.
