In the exhibition of wall hung sculpture, Seasonal Labor, Lisa Cooperman explores discrepancies between material and effort relative to value. Like the shifting workforce hired to pick cherries and wrap holiday presents, artists also work on the fringe in cycles of plenty and want. Through humble material and repetitious construction techniques the artist addresses variations on the value of work.
