Beware the Lady: New Paintings and Works on Paper Susan Bee

Susan Bee’s new paintings are about the speed and economy of juxtaposition, according to John Yau in his catalogue essay. Beware the Lady, Bee’s second solo show at the A.I.R. Gallery, opens April 4th and runs until April 22. These paintings include a variety of images including film noir and pulp fiction figures, pin-ups, baseball players and American revolutionary heroes.
